Netflix’s brutal new horror scores a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes

It is October which means it is time for another one of Mike Flanagan’s horror series heading to Netflix. This time it isThe Fall of the House of Usherand it has debuted at an impressive 90% on Rotten Tomatoes.

With Roderick Usher and his sister, Madeline at the head of both the family and its pharmaceutical company, the family has been bestowed with incredible wealth but with wealth comes greed and the family has plenty of it.

Despite only being added to Netflix on 12 October, it is already the most-watched show on the platform and at the time of writing, sits at a 90% rating on the review site. As well as sharing their scores, fans also took to Twitter to rave about the latest Flanagan hit. “The Fall of the House of Ushershaping up to be my fave Flanaganverse media omg,” wrote one user with another praising its gothic horror influences. “My god, it’s the first time in a long time that I’ve been this hooked on a non-sitcom, American show. Gothic horror is such a fun genre to watch, you know.”

Starring some familiar faces such as Kate Siegel and Carla Gugino, Flanagan fans will spend their time alternating between pointing at them and the ghosts that always lurk in the background of shots. With the promise of a gripping story, a masterclass of acting and the occasional jump-out-of-your-chair moment,The Fall of the House of Usheris not something to be missed this spooky season.
