New God Of War RPG will bridge gap between 2018 game and Ragnarök

We will always welcome a new God of War game. After all, the series has provided banger after banger since its inception on the PlayStation 2 in 2005.

Until a new sequel oreven a remake arrives, tabletop board game developer CMON has announced a new God of War RPG that bridges the gap betweenGod of War(2018) andGod of WarRagnarök. This would be the second God of War game from CMON with the funGod of War: The Card Gamereleased in 2019.

“God of War(2018) features series protagonist Kratos and his young son, Atreus, as they embark on an epic journey through the Nine Realms of Norse mythology while fighting to protect their family from fearsome creatures and powerful gods. Using this setting as inspiration, our team created a board game that will let players explore and meet fan-favourite monsters in a brand new way,” said CMON when the news wasfirst announcedin November 2023 with an upcoming crowdfunding campaign, and now we know when that campaign goes live.

God of War: The Board Gamewill offer a choice of eight campaigns in the base game and will see you take on ruthless enemies and boss encounters. Players can be either Kratos or Atreus, with one of the main enemies is Freya, following the events that transpired in the 2018 game. It will also come with awesome miniatures and the crowdfunding campaign will unlock extras as each milestone is achieved.

No release date has been announced forGod of War: The Board Game, yet but seeing as its launching as a crowdfunding campaign, delays should be expected.
