Yesterday saw the release of a brand-new game from the Harry Potter universe but one character customisation option has already caused a stir.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Championsarrived across all platforms yesterday and the sports video game will be the first game in theHarry Potteruniverse sinceHogwarts Legacyreleased at the start of 2023.

Allowing players to mount brooms, either solo or in co-op mode, and take to the skies in a game of Quidditch, it won’t be long before they are climbing the leaderboard and taking that House Cup.

With the game now out in the world, we know a bit more about it; more specifically, its customisation options.
Thanks toJordan Middleron Twitter, we know that as well as being able to pick your Quidditch position - Beater, Chaser, Seeker or Keeper - you will also be able to choose hair colour, outfit, and accessories.
You know, the standard customisation.
However, Middler also drew attention to the option to choose your own “pronouns for commentator dialogue” with they/them pronouns being available.

Allowing the non-binary audience to select their chosen pronouns is never a bad thing and should be a standard practice in any game that has the option.
However, much like the discourse that happened when this option was also featured inStarfield,it is unsurprising that some gamers are unhappy.
Either way,Harry Potter: Quidditch Championsis performing seemingly well so far with the game sitting at a “mostly positive” rating on Steam with just over 500 reviews.
