
Fair to say, Sony’s PlayStation 5 DualSense controller is easily one of the best controllers of all time.
While visually, it was a major switch-up compared to thePlayStation4’s DUALSHOCK 4, the DualSense is undeniably aesthetically pleasing. It’s comfortable to hold, but the real standout feature is the fact that its haptic feedback capabilities are unmatched, adding an incredible level of immersion to a wide variety of games. If the DualSense has one downside though, it’s with regards to the battery life. Personally, I haven’t struggled with the battery life since I began using the DualSense Charging Station but oh my, I do remember the dark days of having to use the charging lead.

It is no fun whatsoever being in the middle of a hefty five-hour plus gaming session, only to have to scooch uncomfortably close to your TV / console set-up to plug the DualSense in - your eyes incapable of taking in whatever is happening on the screen that close up. If you suffer from that problem,Sonyappears to have a new solution landing on the market very soon. A ‘Version 2’ DualSense has been spotted online - and it boasts a stronger battery life.

As such, if the V2 DualSense can steadily hit 12 hours, it would be an easy upgrade. It’s believed that everything else about the controller will remain the same. Clearly, Sony is yet to formally announce the device but if it’s been spotted on retail sites, it can be assumed that an announcement is coming imminently.
