Xbox users are getting yet another special edition controller, which has been leaked before its official announcement.
This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise asXboxregularly throws out wild new controller designs, likethe Deadpool one, more often than it throws out a new game.

In terms of appearance it’s said it’ll take inspiration from another special edition controller that was released alongsideForzaHorizon 5, you might remember this one as it was the controller with the translucent shell and paint splatters.
Apparently the new controller will be similar to this but with a blue tint instead, and will available in limited supply throughout August.
It likely won’t be everyone’s cup of tea but if you’re a collector of special edition hardware it might be worth your consideration, so keep an eye out for the official announcement.
Unfortunately this isn’t the hardware upgrade many fans have been expecting, as most are still waiting for an upgraded Xbox controller on par with thePlayStation5’s DualSense.

AnXbox controller like the DualSensewas leaked during theMicrosoft V FTC trialand was said to include features like adaptive triggers, haptic feedback as well as a more ergonomic design, but we’re yet to see any official reveals from the company.
With how many controllers Xbox actually sells it’d be a no-brainer to release one that’s a more considerable improvement than a nicer colour scheme, especially since you can design your own controller with Design Labs anyway.
So for the time being Xbox fans will have to be content with the occasional special edition piece of hardware, and hope Xbox is cooking up something more substantial for reveal later this year.
