The wait for the Nintendo Switch 2 announcement is getting ridiculous now, as Nintendo has to state itwon’tbe revealing the console during events it never would in the first place.
It’s become a meme now that the majority of official social media posts fromNintendohave to include the phrase “Please note, there will be no game announcements or mentions of theNintendo Switchsuccessor during this presentation.”

Now when it’s an actual Nintendo Direct that message makes sense, less so when it’s an indie showcase or some sort of anniversary announcement.

Recently though Nintendo announced that a new Direct would go live later this week specifically about Super Nintendo World, and the addition of the Donkey Kong Country area to its Universal Studios Japan park.
Nintendo America’s X account made theannouncementwith a small word at the end to specify no game information to accompany the event, but the Nintendo UK accountspecifiedtheNintendo Switch 2won’t make an appearance either.
“Anything but Nintendo switch 2 am I rite” said one user, with another responding with a picture of Patrick from Spongebob Squarepants captioned: “No Patrick , there will not be mention of the Nintendo Switch 2 in this presentation.”

“Looking forward to Switch 2 and Smash Ultimate Deluxe news” added another user.
We still don’t know when Nintendo plans to show off it’s successor console, but knowing Nintendo it’ll simply drop an announcement trailer on a random weekday catching us all off-guard.
