Nintendo fans can dive into an exciting addition to the Nintendo Music app this week, as a soundtrack from a SNES banger is now available.
I’d argueNintendo Musicisn’t quite there yet in terms of quality and quantity, but for those who love listening to a video game soundtrack while they work or relax it’s a step in the right direction.

Now the app has added even more songs, 40 to be exact fromDonkey Kong Country3:Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble,first released on the SNES in 1996.

This platformer saw Dixie Kong and Kiddy Kong on a mission to save their friends DK and Diddy from yet another crocodile antagonist.
While not the best in the trilogy it still has its fans, and the music slaps as usual so it’s nice to see it get included on theNintendoMusic app.
It joins the other games in the trilogy, and once again it’s a free update, but you of course need Nintendo Switch Online to use the app.
The news wassharedon X and while many were excited to see the game’s soundtrack added others are concerned that updates for the app are too slow.

Unfortunately I agree as while there are some bangers included there are so many other soundtracks thatshouldhave been on the app from day one, like Super Mario Sunshine as an example, and there’s no telling when games like that will be featured.
Nevertheless if you’re a fan of Nintendo’s musical history and can find some of your favourite games on the app, it’s worth listening to, after all it’s free with your Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
