In the meantime, a new Nintendo Switch Lite OLED model is coming but there are a few caveats.

ICYMI:PokémonLegends Z-Alaunches next year. Take a look at the trailer below.

You see,Nintendohas surprisingly never released an official Lite OLED model, so company Retro Remake has taken matters into its own hands.

SUPER5 OLED kits are now on sale, essentially allowing Switch Lite owners to upgrade their device using a DIY pack.

That may all sound a little makeshift, but I assure you that the kit yields some impressive results. You can see those for yourself below.

The SUPER5 OLED standard kit retails for $49.99, while the SUPER5 OLED touch kit will set you back slightly more at $64.99 if you want the addition of a touchscreen.

You can also order a HDMI edition for $84.99 which provides a 1080p output if you use the Switch Lite’s USB-C port.

If you have a Nintendo Switch Lite it may well be worth looking into this venture as I really cannot see Nintendo releasing their own OLED model this late into the console era.

That being said, the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 could offer its own version of the Lite. We simply don’t know.

I’d like to assure you that using the upgrade kits doesn’t require you to do anything complex like soldering.

You’ll simply need to remove components as instructed. It’s supposedly quite easy to do.

When all is said and done, you should end up with a larger, brighter display.
