Nintendo surprises fans with free Pokémon game, and it’s a classic

Pokémonfans assemble as Nintendo has just dropped a classic title coming to the Switch soon and better yet, it is absolutely free.

Seemingly out of the blue,Nintendoof America took toTwitterearlier today to reveal that it would be adding the classicPokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Teamto the Nintendo Switch.

Arriving on 9 August, the classicPokémontitle will be free for allNintendo SwitchOnline members so don’t miss out if you want to get your hands on this epic freebie.

If you missed out on this title the first time around,Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Teamwas first released in 2005 alongsidePokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team.

Much likePokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violetin 2002, this pair of games were originally released for the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance and are considered some of the best entries in the franchise.

As you can probably imagine, fans are overjoyed to hear this 2005 title is arriving on the Nintendo Switch and took to r/NintendoSwitch to share their excitement.
