Even though the current Switch can run large, detailed experiences likeThe Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it’s fair to say thatElden Ringis a far bigger, more in-depth game.
Obviously, the Switch 2 will be an upgrade and thus should be able to handle these huge open-world adventures, butFromSoftware’s beloved game seems like an especially shocking choice.
That being said,Dark SoulsRemasteredhas run quite well on the Switch, meaning there could be some validity to these claims.
What is more, another individual came forward to say that they “heard the same back in March”, although they can’t offer any further details at this time.

We’d love forElden Ringto be ported to the Switch 2, but seeing as the next Switch hasn’t even been revealed yet, the 2025 release date for said port feels mighty ambitious.
