We’re all eagerly anticipating the reveal of the Nintendo Switch’s successor, colloquially called the Nintendo Switch 2 although the console is yet to get an official title.
What we do know is that it’s set to be announced this financial year, which means a reveal will take place before we reach April of 2025.
As the number of months between now and then lessens though, so too are the rumours ramping up.

Just a few days ago,images leaked onlineof the supposed console, revealing what looked exactly like a slightly enlargedNintendo Switch.
It’s since been decided, as many of us expected, that those images are most likely fabricated.
With that, I thought the dust might settle, at least for a few days yet here we are with another supposed fresh leak.

It all began when Twitter user mushbert_xtweetedthat a reveal trailer for the Nintendo Switch 2 would be released on 10 October 2024, at 10.30 although the user didn’t specify whether that’s AM or PM or which timezone it applied to.

That leaves us to ponder, was this another false alarm or is mushbert_x onto something?
I’m inclined to believe the former.

As much as I’d like the Nintendo Switch 2’s reveal to be just one month away, there’s no evidence to verify mushburt_x’s claim so logically, we have to assume it’s not true.
If you do choose to get your hopes up, I’d advise that you do so with a very generous pinch of salt.
The truth of the matter is though, we’ll never really know until that reveal lands.

Who knows? Perhaps on 10 October we’ll be returning to mushburt_x with apologies for our lack of belief but for now, this one’s left me dubious despite the traction it’s all gained online.
