One tidbit that has been proved to be true is the fact that the Nintendo Switch 2 (which isn’t its confirmed name) will bebackwards compatible, likely with current-gen games.
The source of information is said to have come from someone who has worked with the Nintendo Switch successor development kit.
What’s more, it’s claimed that rather than games having performance or graphics options similar to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, Nintendo instead wants the options to be simplified directly from the console.

“I only trust rumours from Kakuna, not Weedle,” joked MuptonBossman.
“I can see it applied for retro-compatible games. Battery mode for handheld and Quality mode for docked,” added N3WG4M3PLVS.
“This could just as likely be something in the development version of the console to allow developers to easily switch modes, not necessarily a feature that the Switch 2 will have,” suggested MumGoesToCollege.
Hopefully, Nintendo will reveal all in the coming months regarding the Switch successor to put us all out of our misery once and for all.
