“It will have been over nine years since we announced the existence ofNintendo Switchback in March 2015.”
If you’re not aware, fiscal years run from April meaning that the company’s new console should be announced in the next six months.
Many people won’t upgrade their consoles immediately and as such, I’m imagining that Nintendo will continue to produce and support the Switch for quite some time.

That being said, so too will others be chomping at the bit to get their hands on Nintendo’s next-gen experience.
We’re totally in the dark as to when that reveal might be coming beyond the fact that it’s due in the next six months, although Nintendo fans have come up with a rather interesting theory.
Pokémon Legends Z-Ais due out in 2025 and will reportedly be a Switch successor launch title.
In a recent tweet promoting the upcomingMario & Luigi: Brothership, Nintendowrote, “10/10 landing”.

This is clearly a joke about Luigi’s landing attempt viewable in the attached clip but some think a secret message is hidden within the caption.
The going theory is that 10/10 is hinting that the reveal of the Nintendo Switch’s successor is coming on 10 October.

To play devil’s advocate though, we are in what I’d call the danger zone.
If that’s true, the console will need to be unveiled sooner rather than later.
For now, we’ll have to remain patient, but seemingly not for very much longer.
