Nintendo Switch 2’s first major RPG seemingly confirmed in job listing

A job listing has been spotted that may be pointing to the first big RPG for Nintendo’s upcoming, but not officially confirmed, Switch 2.

Asposted on Reddit, signs are pointing to Monolith Soft, frequent Nintendo collaborators, hiring for a new RPG.

Monolith Soft is responsible for the Xenogear and Xenoblade series, the latter of which has had three entries on theNintendo Switch.

While the post doesn’t specifically mention the Nintendo Switch 2, it does mention that the game will introduce “new challenges” which might point to creating the game for new hardware.

Of course, at this point, everything is shielded with secrecy, so we can only speculate, and much of this can be taken with a pinch of salt.

However, we do know thatNintendohas a new console waiting in the wings and surely when the right moment comes along we’ll get to see it unveiled.

This means that software is being created right now and we will see these titles come to the hardware when it finally debuts.

While many Xenoblade fans will be getting their hopes up, it’s not clear if this is a continuation of the series.

Takahashi goes on to say Monolith Soft is looking for expertise in “the [open world] field, battle, characters, quests, and story.”

The game is clearly in preproduction and hopefully, we will hear more about it as the months pass.

Another big RPG on the way is great for fans of the genre, and if it debuts for the Switch 2, then it only gets better.
