“Embark on an epic open-world 3D platforming collectathon adventure with Yooka and Laylee! The search for Pagies starts anew inYooka-Replaylee, the enhanced definitive version of the beloved indie darling with all new challenges, secrets, mechanics, and accessibility options,” reads the description of the game.

Yooka-Replayeewas announced with a glorious trailer and at the very end of said trailer it confirmed the platforms PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. It also mentioned Nintendo but interestingly, not Nintendo Switch.

The non-mention of Nintendo Switch directly has led some to believe thatYooka-Replayeewill be released on the Nintendo Switch 2 (currently not the confirmed name), otherwise, why would the trailer simply say Nintendo?

“Nintendo WHAT though?”saidspoookym, replying to a tweet from Playtonic.

“Why just a vague Nintendo?” asked NicholasArecco.

“Even third-party developers have started to hype up the Switch 2. It’s gonna be here sooner than we expect,” speculated VowedPrinciple. “I bet it’s gonna be out early 2025 rather than late 2025.”

Obviously, at this time, it can still be considered as speculation but the fact that the trailer refused to mention Nintendo Switch and just Nintendo, it looks likeYooka-Replayeewill be arriving on the yet-to-be-announced console in 2025.

Yooka-Replayleedoes not have a release date, yet.
