Nintendo Switch 2’s power teased, it sounds like we’ll be very happy

The Nintendo Switch 2 is going to be a significant upgrade over the original, and while it likely won’t keep up with the likes of Xbox or PlayStation, it doesn’t reallyneedto.

Nintendofans are still waiting for the next console announcement; Now they know how theGTA VIfans feel.

Even more so when there are so many great games on the way for Nintendo next year, like the new Pokémon.

As for theNintendo Switch 2itself, there have beenloadsof leaks surrounding the console, some potentially true, some not-so-true, but most point to one inevitable fact: it’s going to be more powerful.

It won’t compete with the Xbox Series X/S or PlayStation 5 but apparently Nintendo recognises the importance of building a system for third-party games in addition to its own.

According toan alleged developer in the Inside Base forums, “both Nintendo and third parties see Switch 2 AAA titles as a big potential growth driver,” with the developer adding that “the hardware is very capable”.

Third-party Switch games were incredibly hit-or-miss, and while it’s cool thatThe Witcher 3: Wild Huntis playable on the Nintendo Switch in the first place, why play it there rather than another console?

I’m personally not expecting anything too wild. A simple boost in graphical fidelity and, more importantly, stability in the frame rate is what I’m after in the Switch successor, as the first-party games will do most of the heavy-lifting for me anyway.
