That is the case once again this month as Nintendo has releasedfive new iconsbased onSuper Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins.
Unlike previous free icon downloads, this time you will have to play the game in order to redeem them instead of just spending the virtual Platinum currency.

So that just means you will need to boot upSuper Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coinsvia NSO whilst the event is active in order to receive five icons.
The event is active until 6 January so you have quite some time to grab them.
With6 Golden Coinsfollowing the story of Mario as he races to save his personal island, Mario Land, from the clutches of the greedy Wario, you can grab icons of them both along with some extra characters.
Once you have booted up the game, your rewarded icons can be found in the Missions & Rewards tab on the Nintendo Switch Online page.
