October’s PlayStation Plus games fail to impress fans, as player interest plummets

PlayStation Plus’ latest three free games aren’t a hit amongst fans, quickly seeing the second-lowest turnout of the year.

October has been a bit of a mixed bag forPlayStationfans. Sony made two big reveals last week with the first being abrand-new model for the PlayStation 5, with the downside of itnot coming with a vertical stand. It also revealed thatPlayStation PlusPremium subscribers willsoon be able to cloud-streama select number of games as part of their membership.

The three monthly games wereWeird West, Farming Simulator 22, andThe Callisto Project, with the latter being theonly one fans believe to be worth trying. That being said, none of this month’s offerings have really impressed fans, and it’s been reflected through the latest PlayStation gameplay data.

WhileThe Callisto Projectwas a decent inclusion, especially for October which also increases player interest in horror games, it’s seemingly failed to pique fan interest, possibly due to the consensus it’s just an inferior version ofDead Space.

Luckily, this month’s Extra game catalogue line-up more than makes up for it in terms of quality and variety, and they’re allperfect choices to get into the Halloween spirit, consisting of titles likeAlien Isolation, Dead Island Definitive CollectionandOutlast 2.

So it’s swings and roundabouts I guess, hopefully, November’s PlayStation Plus line-up is better all-around so all subscribers have some good stuff to play.
