The Gears of War series is one of Microsoft’s flagship series, even if it feels like that franchise has been neglected in recent years.

At its core, at least for the original trilogy, the bromance duo of Marcus Pheonix and Dominic Santiago would lead the charge in humanity’s survival against an alien threat known as the Locust. Whether you played on your lonesome or with a co-op buddy, a Gears of War story campaign is still one of the most fun experiences onXbox.
Another fun experience of the original Gears of War trilogy is its competitive multiplayer, which has been somewhat neglected over the years as the series understandably shifted focus to more recent entries.

As for what the future may hold for the series, fans are still waiting for news onGears 6, but a job listing has hinted that anew game could soon be on the way. Hopefully, Microsoft will announce a new entry for the series in the coming months.
