I confess, I have a love-hate relationship with horror. Whilst I adore the unsettlingly beautiful imagery horror can, in some cases, produce, I don’t like jump scares causing too many unnecessary fluctuations in my heart rate. You might then brand me as a scaredy cat but I wouldn’t say that’s particularly fair either. There are so many nuances and strands within the horror genre and the kind that I am drawn to centres on atmosphere and suggestion....

Call Of Duty Black Ops 6looks good, really good. So good that I’m seriously considering breaking my decade-old retirement from the franchise. I’m still incredibly sceptical as I’ve been burnt before. My last Call Of Duty game wasCall Of Duty: Black Ops 2, as the future warfare direction the series was going in just wasn’t grabbing me in the same way it was other players. I was also a big fan of Halo at the time, and felt like I had a good thing going with a silly sci-fi shooter and a more grounded realistic one, I didn’t fancy seeing any crossover....

I spent around 30 minutes hands-on with the game and that demo was exclusively limited to fairly contained enemy encounters so while I found the preceding cutscenes intriguing, I certainly can’t at this stage pass any judgement on the story, nor can I offer any comment on the open-world given that my combat encounters were set within small clearings - one a snowy scene, and one in a wooded area at night....

It seems thatCyberpunk 2077fans are in for a treat because new projects are on the way and could arrive much sooner than we expected. Despite its initial launch woes in 2020,CD Projekt RED’sCyberpunk 2077has gone on to be one of the most popular RPGs in recent years and fans are eager for more sci-fi goodness and it looks like that goodness is on the way.
