This week saw more heartbreaking news of mass layoffs in the gaming industry with the announcement that Activision Blizzard and Xbox employeeswere next to be affected. With January already seeing 5,600 layoffs, we arealready halfwayto meeting the 10,000 total layoffs in 2023 and it shows no signs of slowing down....

As if we needed more fuel for the console wars, the news that Xbox Series games are about to get more pricey will undoubtedly reignite the embers that refuse to die completely.This isn’t about game graphics or console looks – the usual fodder – but about the cost of simply purchasing the games we want to play. In truth, purchasing video games has never been cheap, but in recent years the cost has increased substantially....

The games industry, it’s a mess. You don’t have to look far to see cuts left, right, and centre as publishers cull staff despite profits. Elden Ringis an incredible game and, for some of us, we’re not quite finished exploring it yet. However, that isn’t going to stop teases for a sequel coming our way. Buckle up, because the future for this franchise is looking closer than before as the devs prepare for the next adventure. Before you get yourselves too hyped about this, we want to emphasise the word “teased”; althoughFromSoftwarehas mentioned that some lore “clarifications and reveals” are being saved for future games, this doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be revealed in a sequel, or that a sequel is happening....

We doubt we’re alone in dreaming of a game that perfectly marries togetherElden RingandBloodborne– it’s the dream combo everyone who’s a fan of both games wants. Well, this free Steam download is as close to that combination as we’ll get without FromSoftware stepping up. Of course, for anyone who hasn’t experienced the might ofBloodborneand/orElden Ringalready, you definitely need to remedy that before even considering looking for other games to feel the void they inevitably leave behind....

Faheem Rashad Najm, also known as T-Pain, has confirmed he’s working with Rockstar Games onGTA VI, and fans are hyped. Rockstar Games has created some truly iconic games, and while we all have our particular favourites, it’s fair to say that everyone holdsGTA: Vice Cityin high regard. How could we not? We’re so besotted with the 2002 title that when some fans spottedTommy Vercetti’s mansion in theGTA VItrailer, Reddit all but went into meltdown as they theorised about the meaning of its inclusion....

Ultra-moddedHalo: Combat Evolvedis beyond anything the series has done so far, just a shame Xbox players can’t experience it. Let’s be honest the only thing keeping theHalofranchise going at this point is the fans. What was once theXbox’scrowning achievement has slowly dwindled in popularity following several disappointing releases, though fans sayHalo: Infinitehasfinally reached its full potentialfollowing post-launch support. That isn’t to say Xbox is short of great exclusives, likeIndiana Jones and the Great Circlewhich releases later this year...

Henry Cavill fans still think the man could play a perfect James Bond, and we couldn’t agree more, he deserves the role. Check out the new trailer for Indiana Jones and the Great Circle below!
