
First released in January for Xbox consoles and PC, it seems as though this monster-taming title could finally be making its way to the PlayStation 5.
Becoming a rival toPokémon(or a close copy according to some),Palworldis a 2024 monster-taming survival game which sees players collect Pals who can aid them in battle as well as help build their base, traverse the vast map and fend off invaders.

Released on theXboxOne, Xbox Series X/S andPC,Palworldmanaged to hit a staggering 6,000,000 copies sold in its first four days andcompletely dominatedthe gaming scene in the first half of the year.

Since then,Palworldhaslost a large majority of that player baseon Steam but welcomed a slight resurgence back in June when it launched itsSakurajima update. The patch added a brand-new island as well as new Pals to capture, buildings to craft, species to examine, higher level caps and new bosses to fell.
As a result, it seems as though aPlayStation 5port forPalworldis looking a lot more likely according to developers Pocketpair.
This week saw the company announce a new partnership Sony Music Entertainment Japan and Aniplex to turn Palworld into a multimedia IP.
“Pocketpair is excited to announce a joint venture company with Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc. and Aniplex, Inc., to establish Palworld Entertainment, Inc., for the purpose of accelerating the multifaceted global development of Palworld and its further expansion,” the announcement Tweetread.

It will be interesting to see if the monster-taming title will get another resurgence courtesy of a brand-new player base being able to dive into “Pokémon with guns”.
