It hasn’t been smooth sailing though, asPalworldhas been hit with several plagiarism accusations regarding the designs of its creatures being remarkably similar toPokemon. Nevertheless it hasn’t stopped players from having fun with the game, and you can check outour review here.

Throughout your playthrough, you’ll be tasked with battling and capturing “Pals,” not Pokemon, which can be used to battle other creatures, build bases and provide transportation. Once you get far enough into the game you can equip your monsters with guns, turning some of the cutest creatures into walking war machines.

It’s all silly fun and a bit reminiscent ofArk: Survivalyet for some it’s a complete abomination. Many have criticised the game for copying Pokemon, and not just the designs but the gameplay in general. I must have missed the game that let me hand my Charizard an AR15.

As previously stated, if all the discourse has convinced you to givePalworlda try it’s available on Steam and Xbox Series X/S, if you have Xbox Game Pass it’s playable that way as well.
