Palworld refuses to slow down, selling 7 million copies in 5 days

The year’s first runaway hit continues to dominate. That’s right, I’m talking aboutPalworld. Dubbed ‘Pokémon with guns’, PocketPair’s survival-crafting adventure has surpassed yet another impressive sales milestone.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few days,Palworldentered early access last Friday, on 19 January, on both PC and Xbox. It quickly garnered positive reviews from critics and players alike. GAMINGbible’s very own Danwrote, “It’s astonishing how much has been packed intoPalworldgiven its Early Access status. Sure, the developers will probably expand the world, add in more Pals, and grow the story, too. But what we have here is already great, and features so many small details that you’ll be amazed at what you discover. It’s a little rough around the edges in places, but the blueprint and starting product are more than enough to keep you going.”

Take a look atPalworldin action below.

It’s not all been sunshine and rainbows though.Palworld’s developers have been accused of utilising AI and plagiarisingPokémonalthough there remains no concrete evidence at this point in time. Regardless, I’d imagine PocketPair are well and truly celebrating now given that the game has just surpassed a whopping 7,000,000 downloads.
