That is why fans were thrilled when Sony revealed it would be bringing some PlayStation classics back forPlayStation Plussubscribers. This means that all members will be able to access PS2 titles on PlayStation 4 andPlayStation 5.
With each month offering some much-loved classics, June was no exception withSly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus,Star Wars: The Clone Wars,andTomb Raider: Legendbeing added to the service.
Released in 2002 and 2006 respectively, it is no wonder that players are feeling nostalgic about the revival of the PS2 and its games and they took to Reddit to share their happiness.

“For those who played the PS2 premium games today, how happy were you when you saw this intro?!”wroteone user in r/PlayStationPlus.
The intro in question is a simple PlayStation 2 logo on a black background but it was enough to stir nostalgia in its players. Not only that but it is an excellent way to introduce new players to some classic titles.
Additionally, talk soon turned to what other PS2 games should be made available in the future including the originalGod of WarandBudokai Tenkaichi.
For now, it is exciting to see a comeback for some long-lost PlayStation entries.
