The PlayStation 2 has been voted as the best video game console of all time in a poll, and what a worthy winner it is.
I have fond childhood memories of thePlayStation2. I’d love to know how many hours I spent driving around inThe Simpsons: Hit & Run, not even necessarily completing any missions. At that age, I was quite satisfied just treating the game like a driving simulator. My other personal favourites includedBarbie Horse Adventures: Wild Horse RescueandSpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants- although I’m going to go out on a limb and say that those titles likely didn’t influence voters into declaring the PS2 to be the best console in existence.

In descending order, the Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Nintendo 64, GameCube, PlayStation 3, PlayStation, and Wii rounded out the top 10. I’m not surprised to see the Nintendo Switch ranking highly. It’s approaching seven years old and is still as popular as ever. With rumours that a Switch successor could be landing this year though, it’s going to be interesting to see what’s next for Nintendo.
