PlayStation 5 gamers agree you need to turn off these two settings for best experience

PlayStation 5 users are urging others to turn off two settings to make gaming easier, and we wholeheartedly agree.

In terms of the best new-gen consoles thePlayStation5 is easily the winner. TheXboxSeries X/S is great, especially withXbox Game Pass, butSony’soption manages to squeak ahead in a few key areas, like the DualSense controllers.

PlayStation also has some incredible audio devices, check them out below

They’re top-tier, and offer a completely unique experience for certain games, like inResident Evil 4(2023) when the radio conversations come through the controller speaker rather than the TV.

However while the PS5 is a great console there are two settings that slightly ruin the experience, and players like Fleagled on Reddit areurgingyou to turn them off immediately.

The first is muting the controller’s built-in microphone. It’s a minor thing but many often forget to switch it off via the button on the controller so when you’re playing online with game chat switched on other players will be able to hear you. I’m guilty of this myself when I played several games ofRainbow Six Siegewhilst talking smack about my teammates, only to realise they could hear every word. Make sure to disable this feature in the settings if you don’t want yourself to be heard online.

If you make sure these two settings are switched off I can guarantee it’ll make your gaming experience so much better, and don’t forget to keep your console and controller firmware up to date too.
