If you have this setting switched off on your PlayStation 5 consoles, you need to turn it back on for the best overall experience.

These modern consoles are great with all their shiny and advanced features, but they’re worthless if you’re not actually using them for anything, like people who turn offallthePlayStation5DualSensefeatures.

That said a surprising number of users have these settings switched off, and while you won’t miss most of them some of them are essential in getting the most out of your console, like automatic updates.

There’s nothing worse than wanting to unwind from the working day with a bit ofFortniteor the newly releasedMarvel Rivals, only to find there’s a massive update that you need to install before you dive in.

Even worse is getting yourself a new game and having to wait until it installs, when it could have been done hours ago if you’d had the right settings switched on.

Simply navigating into your settings and having automatic updates switched on is a game changer, as even if you’re playing something else or streaming a film/TV series your console will be updating your games whenever they need it, so no surprises later.

The only caveat to this feature is it’s not ideal for those who fully turn off their console when they’re not using it. If you usually leave yours in rest mode though you definitely want this setting switched on.

Your PlayStation 5 can do a lot more than you think, so it’s worth checking out some guides or just having a rummage through your settings when you’ve got a minute.
