We don’t even know when or if the PlayStation 5 Pro will be released but that hasn’t stopped the internet rumour mill from spinning, teasing potential new features.
Who are we kidding?Sonywill surely release aPlayStation 5 Proat some point. It might not necessarily have the word “Pro” in the name (though that will be likely), but the arrival of an updated, more powerful PS5 console is as inevitable asMarvel’sThanos.

Sony has already released a slimmer version of thePlayStation5 which isn’t more powerful than the original model but it is more sleek and comes with a bit more hard drive space. However, when the PS5 Pro arrives, it will bring improved graphics, and performance as well as other swanky new features.

“We have just completed AI enabling our entire portfolio, you know, cloud, Edge, PCs, and our embedded devices and gaming devices,” said AMD’s CTO Mark Pagermaster, in acomment sharedin ResetEra. “We are enabling our gaming devices to upscale using AI and 2024 is really a huge deployment year.”
If AI upscaling is included in the PlayStation 5 Pro and beyond, it could make all games played on the system look better than ever.Obviously, all rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise and as likely as AI upscaling would be in future PlayStation consoles, it would be wise to wait for official confirmation from Sony. Hopefully, Sony will reveal all in the coming months regarding the expected release of the PlayStation 5 Pro.
