At the time of writing,Baldur’s Gate IIIis only available onPC, with it arriving onPlayStation 5on 6 September, which just so happens to be the same release date asStarfield. So it will be interesting to see how its score fares whenBaldur’s Gate IIIarrives on consoles.

Speaking of console releases,Baldur’s Gate IIIis intended to come toXboxSeries X|S. However, due totechnical limitations of the Series S, the highly anticipated RPG has been delayed with no solid release date in sight. It is expected to release on Xbox Series X|S in early 2024. As a result,Baldur’s Gate IIIhas temporarily at least becomea PS5 exclusive, kind of. This is quite handy for Sony when you consider it will be going toe-to-toe against Bethesda’sStarfield.

It’s certainly an exciting end of the year for fans of the RPG genre.
