
Finally, after enduring weeks of agony, a PlayStation 5 update many have been desperate for has finally arrived.
It’s no word of a lie to say that the bug in question was a big one, preventing players from saving their games throughout December 2023 and into early January 2024. Despite not having encountered this issue myself, as an avidBaldur’s Gate 3fan, I can imagine how heartbreaking it must have been.
Baldur’s Gate 3is once again playable for those who’ve lost out on precious progress.

Larian Studios' fix has now made these invisible files visible, meaning you can simply delete the ones you no longer need. It should be easy to spot them as Larian assures us, though, once again, I can’t comment from personal experience.
In its social media announcement, Larian not only announced the fix but also detailed how to effectively rid yourself of the dreaded invisible files.
This isn’t the first time Larian has madechanges to the game, nor will it be the last.BG3is such a massive experience, it’s understandable that errors and bugs will appear from time to time. Fortunately for the fans, the devs are extremely proactive, sometimes anticipating issues before its fandom. And when it’s informed of bugs previously missed, a quick remedy follows.

Now that we can safely progress through Faerun without invisible hindrances (not including the enemies who actually turn invisible), fans can plan ahead to unlock special moments like thesecret endingvery few are unlocking.
Whether you’re on your first playthrough or your 10th, we won’t judge, we just hope the PS5 update has cleared up the technical issues that were blocking you from fully enjoying 2023’s Game of the Year.
