You can find this new addition on the PS5’s home screen. For those of you residing in North America, the new hub has replaced the ‘Explore Hub’.
This “enhancement” brings back some charm the previous consoles had that the PS5 has lacked, specifically being able to customise your home screen.
Maybe it’s wrong of us, but we love themes on our consoles – the moment they were removed, everything went wrong in the world (please don’t take that literally).

If you can’t see the new hub on your home screen, don’t panic; only a “limited number of users” have received the Welcome Hub in the update.
Once Sony is satisfied that everything is working as it should do, the feature will be released for everyone else in a couple of months.
Delighted as we all are about this dramatic change, we can’t help but wonder why PlayStation didn’t launch the PS5 with the Welcome Hub to begin with. It just makes the most sense.
Still, what’s done is done. At least we’re not far away from all experiencing the joy of being able to customise our consoles one more.
