It’s another day which means it’s another day of PlayStation 6 rumours and this latest one could be good news for us all.
Rumours have been circulating across social media for a while thatSonyis releasing aPlayStation 5 Pro, which would make it the third PS5 console to release in this generation. Since the launch of thePS5in 2020, we have been treated to a slightly slimmer model in 2023 and now the Pro version looks to be next in line.

Sony has released more than one console iteration since the originalPlayStationso the arrival of further iterations in this generation should come as no surprise. While Sony hasn’t officially announced the PlayStation 5 Pro yet, it’s expected to bring improved visuals and performance as well as other fancy bells and whistles.

It’s expected that the PlayStation 5 Pro will launch later this year with anincreased priceover its predecessor. But what comes after the PlayStation 5 Pro, it’s of course thePlayStation 6.
Other than the fact that we know the PlayStation 6 is as inevitable as a Thanos finger snap, we know next to nothing when it comes to the specifications of Sony’s next-generation console. However, arecent reportfrom Insider Gaming claims that the PlayStation 6 could be released in 2028.
For that reason, a 2028 launch window can be considered good news as it gives us more time to save up money for the PlayStation 6 launch. That’s assuming that scalpers don’t gobble up all the stock for months on end, as they did with the PS5.

Of course, these reports are unconfirmed at this time, so we should take them with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. Hopefully, at least from the perspective of the PlayStation 5 Pro, Sony will reveal all the juicy details in the coming months.
