It’s now been a few years since the release of Sony’s PlayStation 5 console and its predecessor is likely a few more years away at least. However, that hasn’t stopped the PlayStation 6 rumour mill from spinning.

Known leaker Moore’s Law Is Dead claims to know “100%” that AMD has secured the deal to power the PlayStation 6 as well as the rumouredPlayStation 5 Pro. The latter is said to be announced this year with its release planned for late 2024 or early 2025.
In terms of SSD, TweakTown hopes that the PS6 will favour PCIe Gen5 which will provide up to 14GB/sec (14,000MB/sec). If this speculation turns out to be true, let’s just hope that Sony provides the PlayStation 6 with at least 2TB to 3TB of storage at launch out of the box.
