Despite Sony not announcing the PlayStation 6 officially, fans and industry experts have been speculating on what kind of beast the next generation console will be.
ThePlayStation 5was released in November 2020 and much like every new console generation before that, the latestSonymachine set a new high bar of what is expected of the modern video game whether it be visuals, processing power, frames-per-second and more.

Other than knowing what Sony is working with in terms of development, one of the benefits of continuing the partnership with AMD is that it makes the process of making the PS6 backwards compatible much easier, which is a huge win for those who will still enjoy playing PS5 games.
ThePlayStation6 is also expected to have an improved SSD to help keep up with the demands of next-gen video games and as such, it will likely require far more than 1TB of storage than the PS5 provides, especially as the digital age evolves.
What’s more, Insider Gamingclaimsthat the PlayStation 6 will have a feature called PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) which will reportedly help compatible games achieve a 4K resolution at 120fps or even 8K at 60fps.
Insider Gaming also reports that the PS5 Pro will implement PSSR but it understandably won’t be to the full potential of the tech used in the PlayStation 6.
