However, despite the Pro hardly being out of the box, Sony fans have already turned their attention to the future of the PlayStation or more specifically, thePlayStation6.
The discussion kicked off recently over on r/playstation when one user shared their thoughts on when the next Sony console would be released.
They go on to explain that it is no secret thatSonysells its hardware at a loss and makes the money back courtesy of game sales and as a result, they expect the PS6 to actually cost less than the PS5 Pro.

“If the base PS6 ends up costing $700, it means less people own the console so less people buy games on the console because they don’t own the console to buy games for,” they continued.
“It means most likely the PS6 will actually cost less than the PS5 Pro.”
“I don’t think this will be scalped. I imagine it will be easy to get one,” one useradded, which would make its launch a lot smoother than the PS5 back in 2020.

Another usersaid: “Why get the Pro when you could get the PS6? Why get the PS6 when you could wait for the PS6 Pro? Why get the PS6 Pro when you can wait for the PS7? The cycle never ends. At some point you just have to buy something and enjoy it.”
They are not wrong.
With modern-day gaming improving at a rapid rate, the future remains uncertain but for now, let us enjoy what we already have and stop worrying about the future.
