PlayStation 6 release date is barrelling towards us whether we like or not

Life comes at us hard. And new consoles, well, they’re coming harder and quicker than we’d like. That reads far more suggestively than intended, but the point my point about new consoles coming sooner than we’d like still stands.

Even though we’re still all in quiet disbelief, the PlayStation 6 is headed our way, with some speculating its due as early as 2027. Although this sounds like a far-off date now, it’ll soon come around and slap us in the face.

A Redditor laid the timeframe out for all to see, concluding, “It [the PS6] will release between November 10-19 of 2027.” The conviction behind this is impressive, however, fellow gamers are calling into question how likely this launch date actually is.

We, too, want to see whatnext-gengraphics will look like. However, we also want to explore the full capabilities of the current PlayStation before that happens. As far as many are concerned, the PS5 is still in its infancy; others are inclined to agree.
