There are plenty of games launching on PlayStation 5, but Sony already has plans for the next console. Yet, somehow, we missed its release window confirmation.
Granted, it was a subtle, easy to miss confirmation, but it’s been hiding in plain sight, nonetheless.
Right now, you’re probably all planning which free games you’ll be playing this weekend thanks to amassive 13 games dropfrom Sony.

We don’t blame you. But while you lovingly play yourPlayStation5, the PS6’s arrival is looming ever larger.
This is due, in part, to the PS5 selling less units than predicted; approximately a million less.
Now for something a little different – have you watched theCaptain America: Brave New Worldtrailer yet?
“The number of units it shipped during the quarter was much weaker than expected,” explains Morningstar research director, Kazunori Ito.

But what is that quiet confirmation we keep referring to?
According to the senior vice president of Sony, Naomi Matsuoka, “Looking ahead, PS5 will enter the latter stage of its life cycle.
“As such, we will put more emphasis on the balance between profitability and sales. For this reason, we expect the annual sales pace of PS5 hardware will start falling from the next fiscal year.”

Despite the hardware being such an oldie (so says Sony), there’s no concrete date for when its successor will launch.
We know it’s sooner than expected, given this subtle teaser, however, that doesn’t give us a specific date to mark in our calendars.
The end is nigh. We don’t know exactly when it’ll come, but it’s on its way. Although sad, we’re on tenterhooks about what the PS6 will bring.

Previously leaked specsclaimed it’ll have some sweet specs, possibly even 8K.
It sounds unlikely, truth be told. Still, we’re all eager to see what Sony has cooked up for its next generation, and it seems we don’t have to wait long to find out.
