PlayStation 6 tease promises a very different generation of consoles

A recent rumour claims the next generation PlayStation could see not one but two consoles.

Recently, Sonyannounced the PlayStation 5 Proand while this should have been great news for gamers on the blue brand, those celebrations were marred over the price of the mid-generation console.

Check out the PlayStation 5 Pro trailer below!

For starters, it doesn’t come with a disc drive or vertical stand, both of which have to be purchased separately. This means that if you wanted to purchase everything you need for yourPS5Pro, you’re looking at a price of around £825.

Don’t get me wrong, the PlayStation 5 Pro does improve resolution and framerates but gamers have questioned if theprice of the console alone at £700represents good value for money. This in turn has resulted in many fearing that the cost of thePS6 could exceed the price of the PS5 Proexponentially.

Of course, these unconfirmed rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise. We know that a PlayStation 6 is pretty much guaranteed but a proper handheld console is at least a little bit more surprising and as a fan of the failed PS Vita, I hope this particular rumour is true.

It might be unlikely that Sony would release the PlayStation 6 and handheld console at the same time and I’m hoping that there is at least a 12-month gap in between which will help us save up the money if we wanted to purchase both.
