Looking at what we already know, it’s actually not out of the question forThe Last Of Us Part 3to miss PlayStation 5 and go right to PlayStation 6.

The Last Of Uslaunched back in 2013, and it wasn’t until 2020 - seven years later - that we gotThe Last Of Us Part 2. Assuming we’re looking at another seven year wait for the next game in the series, that would bring us to 2027 - the rumoured release date for the PlayStation 6.
It’s possible, of course, thatThe last Of Us Part 3could release on PS5 and PS6 - not unlikeGod Of War RagnarökandHorizon Forbidden West- but considering the increased development times on major releases in this day and age, it’d be more surprising ifThe Last Of Us Part 3wasn’t being developed with the next PlayStation in mind.
