This is a lovely surprise to start the day. If you’re a fan ofSackboy: A Big Adventure, Sumo Digital has just announced a brand new free costume that all PlayStation owners can nab at no cost very soon from the PlayStation Store, no PlayStation Plus required.
I hate to admit it but I was pretty late to theSackboy: A Big Adventureparty. The game was aPlayStation 5launch title but it’s only in the past couple of weeks that I’ve finally given it a whirl. If you’re in the same position, I highly recommend checking the game out if you’re a fan of 3D platformers.Sackboy: A Big Adventureis very much in the same vein asAstro’s Playroom. Itmakes full use of the DualSense controllerto create an immersive and unique experience that is utterly joyful - and I feel very silly for waiting this long to give it a try.

You don’t need to have played other LittleBigPlanet entries, withA Big Adventureserving as a standalone story. If you do so happen to be aPlayStation Plusmember,Sackboyis available on the service’s extra tier, and was previously an essential tier title in April of last year. It’s apt that I previously mentionedAstro’s Playroombecause that leads nicely into today’s freebie.

An Astro costume is being made available as free DLC. Announcing the costume, developerstweeted, “The heroes of PlayStation platforming adventures combine with Sackboy’s new out-of-this-world ASTRO BOT Costume! Take ASTRO BOT with you on your adventures inSackboy: A Big Adventurewith this FREE COSTUME available to download from March 8th.”
