
To celebrate 30 years of PlayStation, Sony has announced loads of free downloads. Happy days!
The originalPlayStationarrived in 1994 and it made an instant statement forSonyto become one of the giants of the console market. Over the years, PlayStation gamers have enjoyed the likes ofFinal Fantasy, Gran Turismo,Resident Evil, and most recently,Astro Bot.

This weekend, not only can gamers playfree multiplayerwith no PlayStation Plus needed, but they can also qualify for esports tournaments to win prizes. What’s more, later this year, a free trial forGran Turismo 7is on the way.
The free trial (which could require PS Plus), is “designed to attract diverse players of all skill levels to the globally acclaimedGran Turismo 7.” During the trial, you will have access to select cars, tracks and race events. Further details on the trial are promised at a later date.

Hopefully, the PlayStation 30th anniversary celebrations will also see discounts on the PlayStation Store as well as new campaigns offering reward points and digital collectables with PS Stars. It will be worth keeping an eye on Sony’s socials just in case any of that goodness drops.
