PlayStation Christmas free store credit available for you to claim now

Sony’s PlayStation Stars loyalty scheme may have had a rocky year but it seems to have put all of its worst decisions behind it and is back with a few more ways to earn members some free store credit.

From unexpectedly being taken offline with no explanation, to points having an expiration date and free store credit being removed (and since re-added),PlayStationStars has been on quite a journey this year.

The Last of Us Part 1is one game you could boot up to earn some free points this month!

In turn, the accumulated points can eventually be exchanged for free store credit via PS Store gift cards.

So if you are a PS owner, and a member of PS Stars, here are a few new ways to earn yourself some points ahead of the Christmas season.

The first category is December Monthly Picks and if you purchase any of the following games before 31 December, you can bag yourself 50 points.

The games listed are:Resident EvilRemake Trilogy,Batman: Arkham Knight,Tekken 8,YakuzaKiwamiandMetal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1.

Demon’s Souls,Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart,The Last of Us Part IandKayak VR: Mirage.

Again, playing any of these games will bag you 50 points and you don’t even have to complete the game.

With the new rules in place, PlayStation Stars members will only be able to store their points for 13 months as opposed to 24 months like it used to be.

That means that if you don’t redeem your points for gift cards within this time, you will lose them and all of your savings will have been for nothing so keep an eye on what you are earning and when you are earning it.
