Rejoice, PlayStation fans. PlayStation Stars is finally set to return very soon.

If you’ve ventured over to thePlayStationStars section of the PlayStation app lately, you’ll have been met with an error message: “PlayStation Stars is currently experiencing issues. Our engineers are aware of the issue and are working on a solution.”

This has been the case for several weeks, prompting many fans to wonder exactly what is going on.

It must be a pretty major issue if it’s taking this long for a company like Sony to fix it.

If you’re not familiar, PlayStation Stars is PlayStation’s free rewards service.

Users can earn points on all purchases made on the PlayStation Store, including the cost ofPlayStation Plussubscriptions, as well as via completing easy campaigns.

These rewards can then eventually be exchanged for free store credit or even entire free games - and there are digital collectibles up for grabs too, should those be of interest.

When you do finally regain access to the app, I urge you to check your points balance.

If any store purchase points have not been correctly processed, you are encouraged to contact Sony’s customer services in order to rectify this so don’t worry, you won’t get short-changed.
