PlayStation exclusive has its servers taken offline forever

Seven years after it was first released, one PlayStation exclusive will have its servers taken offline for good as of today.

Although the game will be celebrating its seven-year anniversary this October, it seems as though it won’t get that far after its shut down began back in December. The DLC was delisted from thePlayStationstore and as of today, is no longer available to purchase at all. Additionally, players will not be able to access its online mode but will still be able to play it offline as the game itself remains listed.

As to whyGran Turismo Sportis being taken offline, Sony has yet to confirm. However, we can assume it is because the game has not been performing as well as some of the other titles released back in 2017.

It is safe to say that 2017 was an incredible year for games with titles such asThe Legend ofZelda: Breath of the Wild,Persona 5, NieR Automata, Hollow KnightandHorizon Zero Dawnhitting various platforms.
