Sker Ritualis finally departing early access in April. The PC round-based zombie survival first-person shooter will soon be launching on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S - in addition to PC - and it’s got a shiny brand new demo for you to enjoy.
If you’re unfamiliar withSker Ritual, it comes fromMaid of SkerandTen Datescreator Wales Interactive. Playable either solo or in co-op, the game essentially tasks you with shooting your way through several “high-octane” rounds as you make use of steampunk weapons and “Celtic god powers” in order to try and survive the onslaught of the equally eerie and mysterious Quiet Ones. If you’ve playedMaid of Sker, you’ll likely remember the Quiet Ones asSker Ritualis a spin-off title. That being said, it can be enjoyed as a standalone project.

If you do want to play with friends, co-op supports up to four people. When you kill enemies, you’ll want to keep an eye out for ‘miracles’. These miracle drops are what you’ll use to upgrade or buff your skills. Each ‘miracle’ is linked to a Celtic god, attributing an element of their power to you.
As I mentioned,Sker Ritualhas been in early access for quite some time, garnering a very respectable recent review score of 90% over onSteam. “If you likeCoD Zombies, you’ll likely like this,” wrote one user, while another added, “Great mindless fun. Drawing on its clear inspirations ofCoD ZombiesandHades.” Well, I know I’m tempted to give it a whirl.
