There’s plenty of fun to be had for subscribers of Sony’s PlayStation Plus service, no matter the tier. However, PlayStation gamers can enjoy this gorgeous RPG for free with no PS Plus needed. Happy days!
It’s always nice to play an upcoming game ahead of its big launch, especially for free. In previous console generations, playable demos were more of a common practice and I used to love checking out what demos were on the disc featured in the latest official PlayStation Magazine from the PS1 and PS2 days.

Sadly, as time passed, playable demos became few and far between. They were common during the PS3 and Xbox 360 days on digital stores, but those demos eventually dwindled as we moved into the next console generation. Playable demos are still present on platforms such as Steam, but it’s becoming increasingly unlikely that you’ll find a playable demo on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S digital stores. That is unless you subscribe to the PS Plus Premium tier which offers a wide variety of trials ranging from less than an hour to up to five hours, depending on the game.
