Sony’s PlayStation Stars loyalty scheme may have had a few rocky patches over the past few months.
However, it is an extra way to get some freePlayStationgames so don’t knock it until you have tried it.

Points can be exchanged for free store credit and you don’t need me to tell you that this is quite handy, especially as new releases are getting more and more expensive each year.
To be more specific, accumulated points can either be exchanged for wallet funds or you can buy games or collectibles outright via points.
However, according to one user over on r/playstationstars, only one of these options will work out as the better deal.
“Use your Points on Wallet Funds ONLY,” theywrote.

They recommend transferring your points into wallet funds, buying the game you want and then receiving more points for making the purchase.
For example, instead of purchasingStellar Bladefor 17,500 points, instead transfer your points into wallet funds and buy the game that way to save some money.
Although this tip does apparently differ depending on your region, it is still worth doing the maths if you want to earn some more free store credit.

“I cash out the moment I get enough for £5.
I just have a feeling Sony will increase the amount of points sooner than later.”
Another said: “Very much dependent on the country. In New Zealand, Stellar Blade is $140 in the store or 17500 points.
Wallet fund rewards for 2500 points = $10. So if you have 17500 points, you can either get Stellar Blade or a $60 wallet fund in NZD.”
