It’s not a problem that’s impacted everyone; however, those who’ve experienced it are unable to turn their PlayStation Stars points into PS Store credit.

For the majority of users, this is the main selling point of the Stars system.
Despite this being the case,Sonyhasn’t done anything to address the problem. Or, if it has, it’s keeping it quiet.
The only acknowledgement that the issue is happening is via the unusual apology we mentioned earlier.
It reads: “Thank you for contacting PlayStation Support. We have reviewed the case and we are sorry for all the situation.

“As informed, the reward catalogue can be different and won’t be always the same, it may be in the future become available again but at the moment if is not showing in your app is because is not available.”
But wait, there’s more.
“We understand that is not the answer that was expecting but unfortunately we cannot proceed with this reference. Your understanding is appreciated. The Supervisor Team.”
For an official response to a query, this reads poorly.

Is it any wonder, then, that PlayStation users haven’t accepted this apology?
Redditor DreadPiratteRobertsposted, “Even chatGBT could generate a more coherent response than that!!”
To which WrestlingGuru2021 replied, “Just insulting at this point, as they didn’t confirm or deny about the various claims sent.”
Others who’ve also reached out have been met with equally disheartening responses, further adding to the frustration gamers are already feeling.

“I reached out and they said the options were removed due to the new terms of service,” revealed Winker2009. “When I inquired as to whether they would ever return they said they don’t have that information.”
From the looks of the above apology, as well as the lack of information when probed further, it seems that this broken system is here to stay for the foreseeable future.
