PlayStation officially confirms free download for one of 2024’s biggest games

I don’t know about you butAstro Bothas quickly rocketed to the top of my list of most-hyped games set to launch in the remainder of 2024.

UnlikeAstro’s Playroom,Astro Botwon’t be free - instead retailing at £59.99. That seems a very fair price though as the game is set to offer a whopping 80 levels.

This free content will reportedly add fresh challenges to the game in the form of short levels testing specific platforming skills.

Doucet also added that more would be on the way beyond that but decided to keep a lid on the specifics.

More PlayStation cameos? New Astro skins? A new level? We can only guess for now.

IGN speculated that we may see additional levels themed around specific PlayStation IPs, rather than just having PlayStation-owned characters make cameo appearances.

In fact, we had the chance to go hands-on withAstro Botat Summer Game Fest’s Days of Play event.

GAMINGbible’s Sam Cawleywrote, “[Astro Botis] everything it looks like in the gameplay trailer: fun, pretty, and oozing with PlayStation history. […]Astro Bothooked me immediately, and although I finished everything there is to do in the demo, I was left wanting more. If I stayed any longer, they might have had to pry the controller out of my hands.”
